How to read this

Each bird is scored with an occurrence likelihood for that point and that week, learned from historical occurrence records. A high score means the species is commonly recorded around there at that time of year.

It is not a chance of detection, an abundance estimate, or a forecast, and it is not corrected for how much birders actually look in a given place. Somewhere with few records can still hold the bird; somewhere well watched will simply be better described.

This is a prior built from past records — not a live sighting feed. For what is being seen right now, use eBird.
